NOTICE: Seeking Experienced and Academically Qualified Online Faculty

By saying we are seeking "experienced online faculty" it is meant that Redding College is only looking for those faculty who have at least one year's experience of teaching online or classroom classes at a regionally accredited community college, college or a university, or by participating in a tutorial delivered by our online co-ordinator.

By "academically qualified" it is meant that the faculty member who wishes to teach Associate of Arts courses has earned at least a masters degree with 18 graduate credits in the academic field of the courses to be taught for the College. To teach Associate of Science courses the faculty member must hold at least a bachelor’s degree. If the Associate of Science courses require any certification, then this certification must be established by the proper certification agency. The degrees earned and the courses completed must have been at a regionally accredited college or university.

If you would like to join the Redding College faculty, email Warren Heltsley, Redding College Provost at warren@oltraining.com. In your email complete and attach the Redding College Faculty Qualification form.

If the College needs a faculty member with your qualifications, you will be contacted about joining our faculty. You will be requested to submit the documentation listed below. Please have your transcripts sent directly from the accredited colleges or universities that you have attended.  We will need a complete list of documentation turned in by you as follows:

Documents Needed -

You will be provided a syllabus for each course you wish to teach that has been created for online delivery and which you will be able to modify.

If you would like to develop for online delivery any courses that are not currently developed you will need to provide a syllabus using the following format: syllabi format

Redding College uses the Moodle virtual classroom platform; training will be provided in how to create your course in Moodle if you are not familiar with it. Once you have been selected as a faculty member for a particular class, a link to your syllabus will appear from the respective course's listing at this web site. (If more than one faculty member has offered to teach the course, then there will be a link to each professor's syllabus).
